Agree! I was cringing on their behalf. And Tom and Kristen almost looked sheepish explaining to the guest judges that they can cook better than t his, usually.
On another note, I liked how they were all “deer in the headlights” when they saw Morimoto. I am so jealous of that dinner they had.
I think the time has come to just turn the show over to Kristen and let her choose some new judges.
Also, the show will be Top Chef Canada next season. That is cool with me. Two of my favorite house shows are vases in Canada, Sarah (several design shows) and Tatiana (Property Shop).

Was he on a Food Network show recently as a host?
If he was then I remember recording it, thinking about giving it a try and then within days read that he was in trouble for something so I deleted it.
He’s been on Food Network shows, but I don’t think as a host. He was a co-host of sorts on Fast Foodies with fellow Top Chef winners Kristin Kish and Jeremy Ford. (There’s no real host on this show, just the 3 of them recreating fast food dishes, and then elevating in the next round).
Okay yeah it was not the Foodies show but I know it was a Food Network show with Top Chef contestant host. I could never be a stalker because my search skills show terrible results. The host I think I am thinking of is another Top Chef contestant, Eric Adjepong. I can’t find anything about it now but at the time I started recording then deleted it was because in the next few days I there was some legal issue with him. It was the Alex vs America show.
eta Maybe it was Wildcard. This is going to annoy me. I don’t usually watch or record Food Network competition shows and I remember just enough about this incident to be useless. The Justin news above further confused my memory.
I see from the Season Premier thread that TC is coming back next March. Looking forward to it but I am souring on Tom, on social media, and I hope I am still able to use my power of separating a show from the person. He is an awful person in real life.
I can’t wait to see Kristen again as host. Canada is interesting to me simply because I love Sarah Richardson and watch her many design shows over and over. It would be a squee moment if they got Sarah and her side kick Tommy in a TC episode.
I have never been so bummed as when DABL channel changed their programming to sitcoms and I lost my endless Sarah shows.
Along these lines, I’d love to see Scott McGillivray. 
And more in line with the show - Susur Lee.
Where is a swooning couch when you need one after those two suggestions.
I haven’t kept up with Susur lately but I am familiar-ish on him. Didn’t he make it to a TCmasters finale? Scott and Sarah would be great together on an episode.
I wonder about how they will (have probably already) pick the contestants? From Canada? International? Strictly from the US?
Season 22 is just around the corner! Five weeks from today, March 13th is the first episode.

Yes! A whole bunch of time management problems. I did enjoy Tom’s assessment that the missing curry very probably was a good thing.
And at least Mimi got $5,000 before serving up elevated hospital food for her first challenge.
Also, if they decide to do a Canadian actor William Shatner themed challenge, I’m going to assume that Chef Kat will knock it out of the park.
