DW 2023 onwards discussion.
Premieres May 11th.
I mostly enjoyed the 2023 Christmas specials and I wanted to love the new season but the first two new episodes were hot garbage (a mix of abysmal plot, clunky writing/dialogue and even some wooden acting thrown in for good measure) and I’m unwilling to carry on giving it a chance only to be disappointed.
2024 RTD writing bears little resemblance to 2005 RTD writing imo. This is no longer the DW I knew and loved from childhood; it’s changed beyond all recognition other than including a Tardis, so I surrender. Stick a fork in me, sadly I’m done.
I had such hope for RTD’s return. And Disney’s money. 
I’ve actually liked the episodes so far, but only watched two. I do like how 15 is upbeat but can be serious when needed, and I wonder what is going on with Ruby.
