When a tragedy disrupts her life, a teenager moves in with her guardian’s big family in a small town and learns lessons about love, hope and friendship.
This show was renewed for a second season, I finally got around to watching Season 1. It’s based on a YA novel, and I thought all the young actors did an amazing job. The CO scenerie is gorgeous and the kids were complex while still being actual kids and non mini adults.
However, I just cannot see guardians being okay with their ward (who’s gone through significant trauma losing her entire family) DATING one of their sons who lives full time in the house with her. Look I get teenagers who didn’t grow up together have flirtations and attractions, but that’s just ripe for drama at the very best, coercion at the very worst. Same reason why foster siblings aren’t supposed to date/be romantically involved, the power dynamic is too great
