Huddle up!

I’m excited for Draft Weekend! It’s pretty close to my house so I’m considering going down and watching with the crowd.

It’s going to be a lot of fun! It’s also probably going to draw a HUGE crowd.

The crowd situation is my biggest deterrent! Not the crowd itself but the nightmare of parking, etc.

Hard Knocks has the Giants for the first time in show history. (My team has been EXTREMELY resistant to being on the show.)

So they’re giving us the special “off season” look at what the front office does from January through May. I liked the first episode a lot. I just think it is important for everybody watching to remember that this TV show will give us a total of 20 minutes of conversations over a two week period, when the actual team spent 7 days a week, working 12 hour days talking through everything.

My Lions have been off to a pretty good start this season, but yesterday’s game against Dallas started off really fun.

Still like the result, but Aidan Hutchinson’s injury was a dark cloud over the game. :frowning:

I mean, there is nothing better than embarrassing the Cowboys at home. They have been a thug team, beating up on bad teams to pad personal statistics for years.

But yeah, Hutchinson is such a good player. From what I’m reading this morning, he avoided most of the really bad things that can come from a broken leg. They’re even holding out hope that if rehab goes really well, he could be back for the Super Bowl should the Lions be in that game.

I realize that’s a lot of hope in one sentence, but still…

He’s also a local boy for me - local high school to U-M (we all make youthful mistakes) to Detroit Lions. Until the bye week, he was ahead in sacks of some teams! Ugh. I hope he has a quick and full recovery.

My favorite team, the Falcons, have won 3 in a row, one against each divisional opponent. We are in good position right now - it’s nice to have good coaching and good QB play again after the disaster of the Arthur Smith era. Entertaining NFL season so far.

I like Kirk Cousins and now that he’s not on Minnesota (divisional rival) I don’t have to fight the feeling any more. So I’m glad the Falcons are doing well.

So the Lions and Chiefs have the top records in the league but I feel like it’s a little deceiving. The Chiefs are not playing well, but “shockingly” keep getting bailed out by the refs. And the Lions are strangely good (as a lifelong Lion fan I can’t get used to this), but the injuries are really really piling up and starting to hurt us.

Hoping Anzalone is able to come back when projected which will be in time for the playoffs.

The Bills are the best team in the AFC IMO, they’ve played great lately and beat the Chiefs. The Chiefs keep finding ways to win but they aren’t as good as their record indicates, they’ve been lucky to win a few of their games and they have some holes on their roster.

The Lions and Eagles are the best teams in the NFC I think, the Lions have a great offense but some injuries are starting to pile up on D, I think the Eagles have a great shot at the #1 seed, their remaining schedule is easier than the Lions’ and they are red hot.

My Falcons have lost 3 in a row, I hope this isn’t the start of a free fall. If Kirk Cousins doesn’t start playing better, Michael Penix should start instead. Cousins cost us the game this week with 4 picks.
