Discuss all the happenings in Port Charles here!

Is anyone watching GH or is it just too boring to comment on?

Iā€™ve been watching out of curiosity - to see where the new writers are taking the stories - but itā€™s a slog most days. One or two good scenes per episode isnā€™t really cutting it, imo.

I havenā€™t watched GH in eons, but with some casting news and a possible revisit of a pairing I once loved, I may have to tune in again. Sigh.

Hey Wendy, good to see you! I wondered if anyone would migrate here. Iā€™m still watching and some of it is interesting. But for the life of me I canā€™t figure out what Mulcahy and Korte are trying to do. And since neither of them has given a single interview since taking over, I wondered if they know either? I mean, when was the last time a new regime didnā€™t provide an overview of their plans? Itā€™s all very strange.

I have no use for Jason or his protecting Carly since sheā€™s her own worst enemy. And while itā€™s nice to see people finally waking up to who and what Sonny is, I canā€™t abide this Heather redemption story, or Anna confiding in and working with Jason. Jason is just as much a mob guy as Sonny.

Hi yourself, @Sake614 ! waves Great to ā€œseeā€ you again!

Iā€™d hope that Mulcahey has a plan taking shape. His past writing has always been solid, so I hope that still holds true.

But with network budget tightening and interference and egos involved, who knows what will happenā€¦

Itā€™s just really odd that neither Patrick nor Korte have given a single interview to discuss their plans for the show. And now we have the Chalynn wedding this week, which has been the least hyped gent in recent memory. And Iā€™m not even convinced that anyone other than Lois is truly excited about it! Plus we have Brooklynnā€™s cousin and grandfather cast, hopefully just for the wedding.

Soap press isnā€™t what it used to be, though. Especially since it is basically only online now.

Time will tell how this goes! Itā€™s only been a month or two. I do agree that this wedding is very ā€œmeh!ā€ as far as the excitement factor goes.

So now Drew is going to run for Congress? He hasnā€™t announced, has no staff, no campaign platform, no money (other than his own) but heā€™s going to get on the ballot in time for the November election? And of course heā€™ll win because the current congressman is backing him.

Absolutely LOVE that John is keeping tabs on Ava. Too bad he didnā€™t ask why she met with the pharmacist. But maybe heā€™ll go to the pharmacist instead. He shouldnā€™t be too difficult to crack.

Havenā€™t watched in eons. But I read that the actor playing John-formerly-Jagger is good.

I just canā€™t reconcile him as the same character (based on appearance on my part!) as played by Antonio Sabato, Jr. LOL!

AS jr, canā€™t hold a candle to Adam Harrington. I did a double take when they said he was Jagger, but AH is so unbelievably hot and a really good actor. It wasnā€™t long before I was saying ā€˜ASJ who?ā€™ Lol!

Since I was never really a fan of ASJ, my prior post wasnā€™t meant as a slam to Adam Harrington! (Just clarifying!) Glad he is doing well in the role!

If he could have done a slight accent, I think AH would have made a halfway decent Jax. Standing next to Carly they have that golden couple look. Not that Jax was missed much when Ingo was let go, but I do think he might make Josslyn a little more tolerable. And he deserves a chance to say ā€œI told you soā€ to all the PC residents who have finally admitted Sonny is a criminal.

I actually think Charles Mesure (Brennan) would have made a terrific Jax. Heā€™s already an Aussie and he and LW have tons of chemistry!

Well, that was fast: Patrick Mulcahey is OUT as co-head writer. Elizabeth Korte will, for now, be sole head writer.

We can kiss goodbye scenes like Tracy/Gregory today and expect the rapid pace scenes we had before, along with stories that never end and serve no purpose . I mean, why did they even hire him if they didnā€™t agree with his vision???

Yep. And so much for Alexis and Laneā€™s character. (That, Iā€™m positive, was all Patrick Mulcahey.) Oh, well.

Get ready for a shitload of Carly, Korteā€™s muse.

(Sigh) what makes me laugh (or maybe cry) is all the people who were claiming Korte LOVES GH and has been with the show for sooo long and knows the history! While I have no doubt she knows the history, sheā€™s also quick to ignore and rewrite it when it suits her. I just donā€™t get why they fired Chris only to immediately rehire him. Unless he was never actually fired? Not even sure I care enough to find out, but I was starting to finally like the show again. Sure there were things that I didnā€™t like (all the career changes, women taking a back seat (see Sasha), etc. but scenes were longer, dialog was better, characters interacted more. Now everyone will suddenly wake up from their nightmare of thinking Sonny is evil and apologize profusely to him. Laura will welcome his monetary donation as well as his art commission and Anna will fall at his feet while giving him all the information about the FBI investigation. Jagger will be a corrupt FBI agent who is finally exposed by Carly, with Jasonā€™s help. Sonny will apologize to everyone for thinking they betrayed him, he and Jason will kiss and make up and he and Carly will reunite to run the mob together.

And thatā€™s when the curtain will come down for the final time as ABC announces GHā€™s cancellation

So cousin Gio is now on contract. Iā€™m all in favor of beefing up the young adult population on the show but Gio looks 15. I guess heā€™s supposed to be about 20 or so, since Sonny paid for his schooling and music lessons. But will Joss want anything to do with Gio since he thinks Sonny hung the moon?

Now I recall one of the many reasons I stopped watching: The Sonny deification. No, thanks. Sonny is no God or saint. Heā€™s a mobster that should be in - or under - the nearest prison.

Rest in peace, Johnny Wactor [Brando]. The circumstances were so tragic. And so needless.

To die at 37 is just awful beyond measure anytime, but in this fashion, itā€™s even more senseless.
