9-1-1

Explores the high-pressure experiences of the first responders who are thrust into the most frightening, shocking and heart-stopping situations.

So I am quite the fan of this campy show. I finally tuned in last night only to find out my PVR failed to record the latest episode. Apparently there was an issue with the station, it was just a black screen for the entire hour. I wonder if the Vermont affiliate was affected by the snow storm we had yesterday? Now I will be forced to watch it off my little iPad. Did anyone else watch? Was it a good episode?

Well holy crap, I was not expecting that ending! Wow, I never pictured Buck into guys but I’m not hating it.

Also, was that the same actor playing Harry or was he replaced? I didn’t recognize him but I also couldn’t remember what the child actor looked like, heh.

And Maddy and Chim freaking out over Joey and "The Bachelor "was fun even if I’ve never seen the show and have no idea who Joey is…

I didn’t expect that ending either. I liked when Chim called Buck out for making him be his beard. Buck does have a tendency to use people for his own purpose. He’s not very clever about it either. I hope he does find happiness.

I don’t know if that was the same Harry or if he’s been SORA’d!

I read somewhere that it is not the same actor playing Harry.

And I also liked Chim calling out Buck for making him his basketball beard. And, I liked Maddie telling Buck never to try to hurt someone to get their attention.

The mom who shot her son was so heartbreaking to watch.

New episode this Thursday!

S07.E05: You Don’t Know Me

Hen and Karen welcome a new addition to their family, while a call unfolds involving a person’s limb that’s taken on a mind of its own. Meanwhile, Eddie and Marisol take a closer look at their relationship, and Buck navigates his new feelings.

I thought last night’s episode was okay. I don’t remember Mattie and Chim being engaged so the last scene confused the hell out of me, heh.

I did enjoy the opening scene with the guy’s hand having a mind of its own and attacking Buck and Eddie, heh.

S06.E14: Performance Anxiety

The 118 race to the rescue at emergencies at a commercial bakery and a bodybuilding competition; Bobby’s annual performance reviews sends Chimney to the firefighter academy where he runs into a familiar face; Eddie’s aunt gets involved in his personal life; Maddie helps a nervous teen suffering a panic attack.

I’m glad Chim missed the wedding not because he got wasted at his bachelor party, but because of an actual medical emergency.

Hallucinating Kevin and Doug was unexpected but interesting.

And I am so happy Maddie and Chimney got married after all. Their hospital wedding was really sweet and emotional.

And oooh, Chim and Buck’s mother both realize that Buck and Tommy are an item. Buck, next time you kiss your firefighter boyfriend, be sure to wipe the soot off your face, heh.

This was a good episode and nobody can cry like JLH, heh.

The part about Eddie cheating on his gf with a woman who looks like his dead wife is something I can do without. This won’t end well for anyone.

And the male nurse with the burns? I have a feeling he was one of the victims from the fire that Bobby accidentally set in Michigan that killed his whole family. Hopefully I’m wrong but that nurse definitely recognized Bobby, so if not from Michigan, then from another fire.

I guess Eddie’s new obsession is played by the same actress as his late wife, but she sure didn’t look that much like her to me. His very nice, former nun, girlfriend is in for a world of hurt!

I also didn’t think she resembled the dead wife but apparently it’s the same actress, lol.

Bobby, while I like him enough, is not my favorite character. Therefore, having a whole episode devoted to him was not my cup of tea, but the episode was okay overall.

I kind of felt bad for child Bobby and I think it did help to explain why and how Bobby became an alcoholic.

I just wish next week we could go back to regular episodes featuring wacky 911 calls.

I agree! I guess the writers are trying to say that the fire wasn’t all Bobby’s fault, but I think they should have stuck with the building not being up to code. It wasn’t! Bobby has tried to redeem himself by quitting drinking and saving lives. I wish they had never gone down the road of this awful story! Bobby could have become a recovering alcoholic for any number of reasons. This is just too much. I also couldn’t believe that those firefighters left a kid alone in a partially burned house after his father died.

Yes, those firefighters knew Bobby personally. To leave him alone after he found his father’s dead body was just stupid and irresponsible. It doesn’t matter what a 12 year old says, you stay with him until his mother comes home.

I finally got around to watching the latest episode last night.

I’m glad Buck met Kim so he could confront Eddy about Shannon’s look-a-like. It also validated that she existed and Eddy wasn’t hallucinating her which I had wondered at one point. And while I’m glad Eddy was open with Kim, Christopher and Marisol walking in on Eddy and Kim hugging wasn’t needed. Mostly because it’s going to be devastating for Christopher.

Bobby is freaking me out with wanting to quit and essentially getting his affairs in order. I can see why Athena would be freaking out. That said, I don’t think going to her husband’s burn victim and asking him to help is the way to go. So did Amir set the fire? He showed a lot of interest in the house, but it’s too obvious. Also, eek, Bobby had a heart-attack!

I don’t like the evil politician storyline with Hen and Karen. Taking away their foster license and stopping the adoption process was pure evil. That kid has been traumatized enough, and it made me mad.

All in all, a good episode, but I do miss the wacky 911 calls. The move to ABC has definitely changed the tone of the show and it’s much more serious now.

I’m always happy when this show is back.

The bee-nado storyline is a bit nuts but totally fits with the show, lol.

I really dislike the Chief and I can’t wait until Bobby is back leading the 118.

Athena’s storyline is intriguing me. Also, you totally know she’s going to be flying the plane and landing it, heh.

I can’t wait until next week.

Athena trying to fly the plane was fun. It was nice that for once she was panicked and bewildered. Normally, she can do anything.

I liked the little boy helping her by knowing so much about planes. That’s a future pilot right there. Keep him as your wingman, Athena!

Man, that was a fun Halloween episode until it wasn’t. I was really worried for a second that they were going to kill off Denny. That scene was hard to watch. I am so glad he is okay.

The storyline with Buck and the boils was entertaining. Actually, the "fake prop’ turning out to be an actual mummified body after having its arm accidentally ripped off is based on a true story. And I only know that because it was mentioned on an episode of Ghost Adventures years ago.

Aww, Chim and Maddie are expecting. I, too, am worried about her experiencing post-partum depression again but I guess only time will tell. Hopefully, this time around, both she and Chim can be better prepared and know what to look out for.

I’m so happy Eddie finally shaved that ugly mustache.

And poor Buck. I did not expect his relationship to end so suddenly.
