I love Totes Recall, Scamfluencers, Business Wars, and (of course) The Generation Why podcast.

Most of the podcasts I listen to are either book or history-themed. Stuff You Missed in History Class has been a favorite for years, and I’m enjoying After Dark: Myths, Misdeeds & The Paranormal.

Natalie Haynes’s podcast (Natalie Haynes Stands Up for the Classics) is also wonderful.

Two Girls One Ghost, is the only one I really listen to, but I’ve followed a lot. The latest one being the new Felicity podcast.

Long time obsession is Handel On The Law.

My latest obsession, and seriously I just want a whole time warp portal to happen so I can listen to every single episode one after the other until I have listened to all of them and then come out of the time warp portal and listen to the episodes as they are released, is Ben Baleck and Zach Goldsmith Live and Buy In LA. If I were a dude I would want to be Ben with Zach as my best friend. Since I am a woman though I just joyfully hang around their podcasts.

Still obsessed with “Watch What Crappens.” I just never get tired of Ben & Ronnie’s spot-on imitations of the various real housewives and others in the Bravo-sphere as they recount the episode’s doings. (The New Jersey recaps, in particular, never fail to have me in stitches.) It might seem hard to justify spending two hours or more to listen to a 2-part review of a show that is itself only 1 hour, but the laughs & snark from these two make it worth it.

One caveat though: I was getting the audio podcasts for free on Google - but it now seems that I may have to join Wondery, Spotify, or Patreon, or some such, to get them as they happen since Google no longer posts them. The only other option seems to be to wait several months for the episode to belatedly appear on Youtube & I don’t have the patience for that.

I have quite eclectic tastes and listen to everything from true crime (Southern Fried True Crime, My Favorite Murder are a few faves) to pop culture (too many to list, except for one I’ve give a shout-out to which is Double Love podcast. This one covers the Sweet Valley High books and next up for me is the infamous #40: On the Edge (aka the one where Regina Morrow tries cocaine one time and *dies," a book that has stuck with me all these years later so that is some staying power.

I love political podcasts like Daily beans, Meidas Touch, Countdown w/Keith Olbermann, The Professional Left & Bob Cesca. But I also love listening to discussions about whatever shows I’m watching, like Bald Move (currently following Dark Matter) and Bingetown. Honestly, I don’t think I would understand the show without the help I get from those podcasts! I followed the Bald Move guys for Breaking Bad & Deadwood and Sons of Anarchy back in the day. I quit watch Walking Dead years ago, but I still follow the Canadian guys who do The Talking Dead. They are just such nice guys and it’s relaxing to listen. I follow some true crime, like Dateline and A Date with Dateline. I also follow Digging up the Duggars and Leaving Eden podcasts. I follow a podcast called Mindful Moments to meditate or fall asleep and sometimes listen to Dr. Ramani discussing how to deal with narcissists. Sometimes I choose what to listen to based on the lack of commercials. There are so many commercials on some podcasts!
