I thought it might be fun to discuss a things make u skin care and hair care. Anyone else interested?
Well, here goes:
Nothing but Isomers for my face and decollete. I use different products for different results. Right now I am using R pur Retinal on my face and Fast Lift eye serum un the eyes.
No foundation {seriously, my skin is that good, even at my age}
For blush I use Laur Merceir Strawberry. My lips ae getting thinner so I use a drug store gloss.
I love eye shadows and use grey, brown/copper or Chanel’s Tisse Ventien. It’s deep color is a shade of green/blue that matches and really brings out my yes. I bought four of them because I know Chanel doesn’t do repeat. Fiberwig mascara {n tubes that wash out with water, so not a lot of tugging on the eyes.
Anyone else want to play?
Quit braggin’! Also? I’m jealous! lol.
But seriously, I don’t wear any makeup any more, it’s too much trouble; now that I think about it, I haven’t worn any for almost 20 years now.
I use Sothys Desquacrem and Sothys Desquacrem forte microderm for face wash, Witch Hazel for a “toner”, and combine Tea Tree oil & Jojoba oil for a “moisturizer”.
How much tee tree do you use on your face? I use it to condition my cuticles’.
I only wear m/u when we go out.
I’ve been using Isomers for 27 years now, and wouldn’t use anythng else.
Just 2-3 of drops of tea tree in a nickle size of jojoba.
The only makeup I wear is lipstick. “Warm me up” by Maybelline.
In terms of moisturizer, I use Oil of Olay at night along with Blistex ointment on my lips. On my neck and decolletage I use Galeboy’s Neck Firming Cream.
In the morning I use Oil of Olay’s Total Effects with SPF 30.
I use CeraV cleansing and moisturizing products. I am all over the place with makeup products which I now only use minimally. I am blonde hair blue eyes and my latest angst is finding a good mascara for my short lashes. Mostly what I need is to find one that has a good thin wand for application.
I am thinking of trying Farmasi. Or I might bite the bullet and buy Dior just because it comes in blue. Yet I am not crazy about the wand.
ELF has a great blush that is liquid and has a wand. Just a light handed couple dots and it is very sheer.
You might want to try Fiber Wig…the wand is thin but absolutely no smear. It has tiny fibers and doesn’t flake. It also comes off with water, so you can skip eye make up remover.
I have rosacea so at first I tried a skin care line called Vivier which is medical grade. It got really pricey so I switched to a product line called Dr. Jart+. I am thinking of trying Ordinary because it is slightly cheaper than Dr. Jart.
Anyone else with this issue?
Good Golly that is way to expensive for me to buy and not like it, ha!
eta it has been a while since posting and I can’t remember how to quote post. I did reply to post but it is weird and you can’t tell unless you know to look in the right top corner of my post that I am replying to the mascara post above.
Oh, you girls need Revolution’s Blur. It’s supposed to be a primer, it goes on smoothly, I use it as foundation; I have sensitive skin and it sits on my skin. I have had it for a week and have had no problem with sensitive. Highly recommend itt
Bday purchase is the Hourglass Ambient Lightening 2024 pallet on the bottom (lotus).
My friend got me the Elephant (medium color story) 2yrs ago so I got the Lotus (deep) this year for variety.
I think my ideal palette is the blush and bronzer from the deep and the highlight/setting powder from the medium.
$90 but oh so pretty.
Dr Jart+ Cicapair Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30 is really good. Pricey but good. I know there are a few dupes available as well.
I have been loving the Fenty Gloss Bomb Sticks, you the comfort of a balm and the color of a lipstick. The brown shades are so nice! I am going to order two more while I still get 2x the Ulta points during my bday month.
