I’m experimenting with a pour-over coffee maker for a single mug. I bought the OXO one, since it was cheap but probably will last forever.

I’m currently drinking my first attempt with this thing. It worked really well, made the coffee quickly. If I go with the amount of water I selected (12 ounces), I need more coffee. This one is a little bitter.

I can’t vote since I drink iced tea and iced coffee every day.:face_holding_back_tears: lol

I can however, post about it, ha!
Strong iced tea/Strong iced coffee/only hot coffee with breakfast foods/bleh on hot tea. Double bleh on cream in hot tea. Full body shiver bleh.
Breakfast foods coffee: whatever the restaurant has with sugar and one half and half.
Iced tea, rotating between Lipton and Luzianne brands for each day. I make it unsweet then add splenda and lemon to each glass. Tervis cups are the best for cold drinks. I have an oval shaped Rubbermaid half gallon pitcher I found at Harris Teeter and two family size bags makes the perfect tea. I drink it all day everyday.

The BabyBoy got me a MrCoffee iced coffee maker a couple years ago and it is the best present I ever got. @JTMacc99 I had to do more coffee than the recommended one scoop that came with it and it is a big scoop. They say adjust to taste and it takes 1 3/4 scoop for me. Also, not sure what your criteria is (or anyone else interested) for coffee but I have been using Don Juan beans from Costco ground to number 7 for basket. It tastes like coffee smells if that makes sense. No bitterness, no after taste, always strong smooth coffee with just a tiny tiny essence of cocoa. Unsweetened cocoa. I have tried every single creamer available and my favorite is, for the subtleness of it, Walmart brand HoneyCinnamonVanilla. It is the only reason I ever walk into a Walmart, for real I know, high brow stuff for me, ha! It doesn’t take away from the great coffee taste but it’s as if you dunked a Graham cracker in coffee. Couple of splenda.

The hubster’s friend got a pour over thingamajig a couple years ago and he loves it. So stick with it until you work out the ratios.

But all that to say I love Don Juan coffee beans and also I never do Starbucks but their Italiano (?) flavor in a pre ground bag is to die for and I get it to switch between flavors. It has a toasty marshmallow essence.

I have no Costco near me, but you are not the first person I’ve heard say they like that coffee!

It is my nature to always keep trying new things, which in the case of coffee may have me finding something I love, or have me drinking something for a couple weeks that I’m sure I will not buy again.

And for sure I’ll keep messing around with the coffee to water ratio on the new pour over contraption. It’s definitely worth it.

I think I might be one of the few people left who uses a stovetop percolator. I grind coffee beans (Dunkin’—I’m in Massachusetts!) and make just one pot every morning, just enough for a commuter cup full (I don’t commute but I like to keep the coffee hot). I put in milk and sugar, froth it with my battery powered whisk and then add the coffee. It’s perfect.

I have both a french press and a stove top percolator in my emergency storm supplies. The percolator
makes better coffee, I think. At least when the power goes out I have a gas stove and matches so the coffee is covered. I’ll miss it when the day comes to replace it.

I do like both hot tea and iced. Sweetened or not.

They are going to have to wrestle my gas stove out of my cold, dead hands! If there is a storm forecast, I grind the coffee beans the night before so I don’t have to go without my coffee. I have a Keurig, but the coffee isn’t very good, not strong at all.

Any iteration of vanilla tea. My husband bought home Chai Tea and I thought it would be awful, but it is delicious! I allow myself one cup at night before I go to bed.
