Meemaw running away from the cops while pushing a baby stroller was hilarious. I also liked how disappointed Dale was when Mary came to pick up CeeCee.

It’s been interesting to see how much Georgie has matured. He may be a bit of a doofus, but he’s loveable and really trying to be a good husband and father. Although his parents have had some issues, overall, I think they instilled some good values in him, and he has a good heart.

I believe that families who sit down to a meal together is a good thing. It doesn’t solve everything, but I think it’s a good thing to do. Our family didn’t have deep, meaningful conversations at the dinner table, but that daily routine was nice, and I appreciated my mom’s efforts with preparing the meal (she was a good cook!)

Georgie is a good kid at heart, albeit flawed, but again, aren’t we all?

That being said, I’m still a bit disappointed with his storyline. Him dropping out of school and then knocking someone up still leaves me feeling blah. It was never canon on The Big Bang Theory and it’s still leaving a bitter taste in my mouth.

I loved the songs Dale was singing & playing for CeeCee. So inappropriate and dark, but fun!

I think BBT just mentioned that Georgie had been married more than once, but not much in the details.

I loved how Sheldon thanked Mandy for not inviting him to the wedding. :upside_down_face:

I loved when Missy was begging to go to the wedding since Georgie was her only brother, and when Mary said what about Sheldon, Missy just shrugged, lol

New episode this week!

S07.E08: An Ankle Monitor and a Big Plastic Crap House

Sheldon studies to be Meemaw’s lawyer when she is put on house arrest, and the Coopers have a plumbing emergency.

Airdate: 04/18/2024

I liked seeing Sheldon being recruited by all these different universities and George being there to help. He might not be academic, but he knows how it works with athletes and what to ask for. Although a car and driver for Sheldon made me laugh.

I also laughed at Sheldon almost attending MIT. Oh man, if only Howard knew! All Sheldon 's insults about it being a glorified trade school and the only reason he didn’t attend was because of the weather, heh.

I also liked U of T being mentioned, eh.

Great episode!

I’m glad that we now know why Sheldon didn’t attend MIT! All of his insults to Howard come down to the weather!

Too much Georgie, Mandy and the in-laws.

I did laugh at Meemaw outsourcing the organization of the church room to Sheldon. That was actually quite brilliant and I am ashamed to admit I didn’t think of it before.

Next week is back-to-back episodes.

This week will feature two back-to-back episodes on May 9 followed by the two episode series finale on May 16th. I’m not ready for this show to be over!

Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!

I knew George was going to die, but I had always hoped it would be just mentioned in a voiceover in the final episode. But as I sat there watching the two episodes that aired tonight, that sinking feeling kept building in the pit of my stomach.

George was funny, sweet, and he had finally caught a break. The whole family did. Sheldon was heading off to California, George finally had his dream come true and was going to teach college ball in Houston, Missy was excited to move, and before any of it could happen, George died.

As soon as Mary mentioned the family photo, I was like damn. And then George was late, and I was still hoping I was wrong. But, nope.

George died at work and I found myself just as devastated as the Coopers in that moment.

No words, I just had to turn off the TV and walk away.

And I’m still upset about it hours later.

Life just isn’t fair.

Watching the kitchen scene where Mary reminded George that 4 pm is the photo shoot you knew he was a goner. I just thought he might get into a car accident (heart attack while driving) or something like that because he offered Missy a ride and she declined.

We all knew it was inevitable.

Yup, same. He was too happy, Marry was too happy, and with every moment I was getting a sinking feeling in my stomach. Even the scene with George up on the ladder was making me nervous. It’s been days and I’m still sad about this.

Missy is going to feel so much guilt for not accepting his ride to school and Sheldon barely looked at his dad when he left.

My heart breaks for this family.

God, I was a blubbery mess watching the first episode. Almost as bad as the other assistant coach. And I felt for Sheldon, constantly replaying his last interaction with his father, and trying out different alternate realities where he didn’t just ignore his father when he walked out the door for the last time. And I felt terrible every time Missy lashed out at him.

As for the final episode, I loved seeing adult Sheldon and Amy. I also laughed at Sheldon’s son being an athlete, I’m sure George would have been proud. And I loved Sheldon’s reaction to learning his daughter wants to take acting lessons. Sheldon’s line about regretting having Penny babysit her was awesome.

I just wished we could have learned what happened to Billy Sparks and Paige. A little throw away line would have been lovely.

And, the acoustic version of the theme song was a nice throwback to the BBT finale where they also played an acoustic version of their theme song.

All in all, this was a very decent finale, and I will definitely miss this show.

Last two episodes.
All the feels. I cried with Sheldon replaying the last moment of George, George’s funeral, etc.
But as finales go, it was not bad.
I am not really looking forward to Georgie and Mandy’s first marriage just because it’s cannon that Georgie was helping out alot with Mary and Missy and Missy has been excluded from the new show but Mandy’s parents were included.

George’s death has affected me a lot and I find it…strange? Unexpected might be a better word. I think I’m just bummed a good dad died much too soon while my own crap father is still walking the earth, heh.

I saw a photo and Lance Barber dressed up as a woman named “Georgina” and attended the funeral. I thought that was hilarious.

And I’m also not looking forward to Georgie’s new show. He is my least favourite sibling. I would much prefer a spin-off revolving around Missy. I just don’t care about Georgie, his in-laws, and Mandy while the show ignores Georgie’s own grieving family.
