Here is my aquarium - I have 6 tetra GloFish in it, I think they can all be seen in this pic, as well as a few bottom feeder/algae eating fish. I love it, it’s a beautiful aquarium.
Boxes are coming in containing Christmas gifts (holiday bedding for my sister from Pottery Barn), and the cats are getting such joy from it!
PeeWee is having a relaxing day - he’s scheduled to undergo surgery next week for his leg injury. It should go okay but I’m concerned for him. He’s an awesome dog!
I hope all goes well with your furbaby, @Xeliou66 .
Also, I love aquariums. Fish intrigue me and I like watching them swim around. It soothes me, lol.
My brother got a small aquarium awhile ago with a Beta fish and a snail and whenever I go over, my eyes keep finding the aquarium and watching the fish rather than the TV, heh.
I love aquariums, always have, and it really relaxes me to sit and watch one. I love seeing the fish swim around and just sitting back and watching the activity in the aquarium soothes me and is calming.
PeeWee underwent surgery today - it went well and it fixed his ACL tear, so that’s good. He is just worn out and sleepy from all of the medicine they gave him, he’s pretty much out of it right now and has been since I picked him up from the vet. He has no appetite either right now, not uncommon after surgery for a dog, hopefully his appetite will return tomorrow. Just wanted to give everyone an update on him.
Thanks for the update. Peewee’s been on my mind. I’m very happy to hear he’s doing well.
Thank you for your concern, me and PeeWee appreciate it. PeeWee is a special dog and I’m hoping his recovery goes smoothly.
PeeWee is healing as expected so far - he woke up early in the morning making noise so I got him water and food and he took his meds with the food without issue. I’ve taken him for a few of quick walks - I bought a cage for him to sleep in while he recovers but I let him out of the cage when I’m around and can watch him. I fed him again a couple of hours ago and he did good again. So he’s healing as expected - he hates having to wear the cone on his neck to prevent him from licking where the surgery was done, cone will come off next week when the vet removes the stitches. But overall things are going pretty well for PeeWee and I’m glad he is taking his meds without issue
@Xeliou66, PeeWee pics & update, please.
PeeWee is still healing and recovering - he’s eating well and taking all of his meds. I take him out of the cage some so he can move around, I know it’s hard on him being in the cage since he’s an energetic dog, but I don’t want him too active. He doesn’t like wearing the cone on his neck, it frustrates him on walks, fortunately the cone will be taken off next week when the vet removes the stitches. Overall he’s recovering well. Thanks for asking.
Here’s a pic of him, you can see where his leg was operated on.
What a little sweetheart. I am so happy he is doing well and recovering!
So glad Peewee seems to be doing well! I know the cone is tough on them.
I haven’t been around much as of late. Unfortunately, I lost my Dad on the 10th. However, a ray of sunshine named Ella has helped. Adopted her just before Dad passed away. Not the best pictures, but here are a few. She has definitely helped my frame of mind.
I’m so sorry to hear about your dad, Wendy. I hope you are doing okay during this time. Losing a parent is very tough - my mom died a few years ago.
That is a beautiful new dog you have. Dogs are just awesome, they provide so much love and companionship. They are truly the best. I’m glad you have Ella.
Thanks for the condolence, @Xeliou66 . Yes, losing a parent is very tough. Lost my mom in 2018, so I like to think of my parents together again. It doesn’t take away the pain but eases it, just a bit.
I’m also sorry about your mother.
Dogs are the best. Ella has definitely been something positive to focus upon right now.
By the way, I hope PeeWee continues to improve.
My mom died in 2018 as well. My dad is fortunately still alive.
Ella is a beautiful dog and dogs provide wonderful companionship.
Thanks for asking about PeeWee - he’s doing very good - I will remove the cone from his neck tomorrow, I’m sure he will like that. His energy is close to normal again and he’s eating and drinking well as usual. He no longer needs the cage, so he’s back to sleeping on his towel and roaming around freely, and fortunately he hasn’t tried to jump on the furniture or get overly excited. He’s doing great overall and he turns 13 on Thanksgiving!
I’m so sorry for the loss of your father.
What a lovely dog, may she be a great comfort to you during this time.
Thank you, @scarlett45 .
PeeWee doesn’t look close to 13! So glad he’s doing and feeling much better!
