What funny, odd, or frustrating things have happened to you, food-wise? Tell us here. (I don’t mean dangerous things like food poisoning, though.)
For example, I used grocery delivery the other day and one of the items I wanted was a bag of the finely shredded cheddar. They couldn’t find that so they gave me regular shredded cheddar which would have been fine except they gave me the jumbo bag! Like 8 cups worth. I live alone. I don’t need this much shredded cheese, lol.
Another example at a restaurant. My friend and I went to an “Eat at Joes Crabshack” and she ordered a salad with crab on it. They said they were out of crab.

Freeze it. We do that all the time cause the hubby likes to buy lots of shredded cheese when it’s buy one get one free. The sliced doesn’t do as well though because it won’t peel off cleanly after it’s been frozen.

We had a grocery delivery yesterday and one of the few substitutions was they sent a chilled lasagne in place of a chilled mac & cheese ready meal. I mean, I know both have pasta and a sauce but really? One is nothing like the other!

I don’t know if this counts but I had bought one of those Cadbury cream eggs before Easter but then I got sick for over a month and couldn’t eat it. Well, this Friday I finally brought it home to be enjoyed. It’s night time, I open it up, I take a tiny bite and get just a hint of the yummy cream center, when the damn thing falls out of the packaging, rolls down the stairs, and lands cream side down. I go to pick it up and it’s covered in hair and dirt. I am still bitter about it. Especially since it’s long past Easter and I can’t find them anymore.

That counts! And how frustrating.

Yeah, that really sucks, super frustrating. That’d be an annoying incident even here where they’re available all the time. So I can only imagine how irked you must have felt.

I once ordered three bulbs of garlic and I got three pounds. That was a lot of garlic!

I would be ready to kill.
Long story short: we were on vacation and had no money left because of a bank transfer error. Hubby and son were snacking all day and not hungry. It was our last day there. I hadnt eaten so that they could. So for dinner I baked a frozen pizza. Hubster took it out of the oven and dropped it cheese side on the floor. They thought it was funny. I was livid.
