Homemade jalapeno poppers [not deep fried, just topped with buttered panko & toaster oven baked] , polenta to temper the heat, sweet Italian sausage & stir fried snow peas with garlic.
Can we say…"multi-ethnic " ??
Panjeon, fried rice, and egg drop soup tomorrow. At least keeping to the same continent.
I was sick like that, six years ago. Lived on spoonfuls of pudding, a lot of dripdrop and ice water, and tea when I could make it. The first ice lolly I tried, was an orange one, and I told dad it was the best thing I’d ever tasted.
I had no appetite for another week after that, it was weird. and I couldn’t handle my regular tea, so I had to find something weaker, and that’s when I started to drink more iced chai’s. I didn’t have any itching, but I had fevers every day and night for two weeks. My symptoms were those of cyclospora, and we had a couple of outbreaks in Ohio, that year.
I had a craving for pizza tonight, which I don’t enjoy much, so I have one waiting for me now.
My lunch today was mediocre. 1/2 of a pb and banana sandwich and some watermelon. However, tonight we are having cheeseburgers and homemade potato salad. Same as last night’s dinner and it was delicious! I LOVE cheeseburgers!
I’ve been kinda bored with my lunches lately, but I’m very excited to get another watermelon on Friday. Today I had rigatoni with marinara sauce and it was delicious, but the post carb sleepiness has come over me.
Lunch pretty much bores me all the time, I just eat a sandwich or a small salad. Or a microwave pizza like I just did. Lunch is just something I have to take my time out to do so’s I don’t get hangry. Now, supper on the other hand, that’s where it’s at.
Speaking of watermelon, I think I’ll have some right now.
I’m hungry for lunch today but I have an 11:30 meeting followed by a 1:30 meeting and the 11:30 one is new, so I didn’t know to bring my lunch. I just hope I have time to go pick something up! I’m hoping for a cobb salad.
This week I have done watermelon feta salad! with basil and mint from my garden, cucumber, and a honey/lime juice/olive oil dressing. It’s delicious, and such a good summer dish!
More like. a late lunch/early dinner, but I had creamy garlic shrimp over angel hair with crab stuffed Cheddar Bay Biscuits with lemon butter yesterday with wine. It was gorgeous out and we just wanted to chill on the back deck.
