Detective Sergeant Hank Voight and his elite Intelligence Unit at the Chicago Police Department combat atrocious offences and bring criminals to justice.
Wow, the case of the week was messed up. I can’t believe the mother sold her own pregnant daughter to a sex trafficker and got away with it for so many years. That poor girl and her daughter have been through hell. That woman deserves whatever hell she will face behind bars.
It was weird to have no Voight, though.
I normally like Atwater-centric episodes but this one was just okay.
Atwater still carrying around guilt for that dead man is in character but I’m glad his widow called him out and Trudy spoke to him afterward. No good can come out of it and the widow was livid.
I’m glad they were finally able to figure out who the serial killer is.
Next week looks intense with Voight being drugged and captured. I’m looking forward to it.
It was a good season finale but while I never hated Hailey like some viewers did, I never really bonded with her either. I’m fine with the character leaving, hopefully it will allow some of the other characters to shine.
I’m not sure I buy Hailey and Voight as some weird father/daughter dynamic. I definitely saw it with Sophia Bush’s character whose name I am forgetting, but not so much with Hailey.
My favourite part of the episode was seeing Olinsky again! I wasn’t expecting that and I’m so happy the actor came back. That was a character they never should have killed off.
Overall, a decent season finale.
Nice having the show back. I did miss Kim, though. I hope the actress comes back soon. It felt weird without her.
The ending definitely shocked me. I was not expecting to new the new detective shot in the head.
Did anyone else watch?
This was a great Ruzek centered episode and probably one of the best in the whole series.
It was gripping, tense, and had me invested for the whole hour.
Last week’s episode was really strong. I must say, I think this has been the strongest start to the season in years.
I had seen the chemistry between Voight and The DA since the beginning so I wasn’t shocked she admitted she had feelings for Voight. I can’t say the same for Voight, however, lol. He seemed so blown away by her admission.
Okay, this season is really good. I loved the case of the week and I was so happy to see the patrol cop again. And now she has been promoted to Intelligence. Yay!
Overall, not a bad episode. It was nice to see Burgess trying out of detective.
