Law & Order: Criminal Intent

That blog seems pretty comprehensive - the whole franchise. So maybe those connected to it had info. I know the SVU episode, “Unstoppable”, is also in the shelved episodes section.

That was supposed to air near the 2016 election and Gary Cole played the main character based on a certain personality.

As a matter of fact, SVU had two listed. That one, and I forget the other and would have to check the blog. I think I read this one - the one I forgot - has an early script floating around.

And @tessaray , considering the title, maybe it was a shooting. Either way, we’ll never know. But interesting!

Yes I knew about SVU’s Trump inspired shelved episode in 2016, I remember even seeing the promo for it before they abruptly scrapped it. I wonder if it will ever get leaked somewhere so people can see it? I also remember a couple of years later Ice T talked about the episode, he said the episode was lousy, and he gave away the ending of it - the Trump inspired character was innocent and had been set up by his campaign manager.
I’m certain that is the only shelved episode in SVU history though, I’ve never heard about another shelved episode unless it happened at the very start of SVU’s run.

It’s very weird that there’s supposedly a shelved CI episode, I’ve never heard anything about it. I really wonder if that’s accurate.

On the Mothership, there are no shelved episodes, but season 11’s Sunday In the Park With Jorge was pulled from syndication for a few years I believe because of some Hispanic groups getting offended, it is however back in syndication now and is shown when season 11 airs. And of course there’s that season 8 CI episode that aired but isn’t shown anymore and isn’t even on the DVDs because it pissed off some people involved with the Olympics in Rio - that’s quite bizarre that that one is still not in syndication.

There is the thinking that maybe “The Glory That Was” is also never shown because the opening has two women having sex.

But considering there are same-sex stories and pairings on other shows, I’m not sure I buy that as a real reason.

On another topic, Charge! is again having a S8/S9 marathon tomorrow, from noon until 1:00 a.m. Monday morning.

I wouldn’t doubt it. The strike shortened episode counts everywhere in 2008/2009. The “Jump The Gun” episode sounds like it may have just been planned but never shot due to outside factors.

Here is the L&O Wiki blog page listing all scrapped/shelved episodes.

The Glory That Was isn’t shown because of some people in Brazil involved with the Rio Olympics getting pissed, I know that for a fact, I remember reading about, it’s even on the show’s Wikipedia page. It’s not because of the lesbian sex scene, if that were the case it would’ve been aired by now and there has never been any controversy surrounding sex stuff that has resulted in episodes being pulled on L&O. It’s because of the Brazil stuff, much like how they pulled the Mothership episode I mentioned because it involved rioting and a murder at the Puerto Rican day parade. That episode has been back in rotation for years now though, so it’s really weird about The Glory That Was not being aired still now, 8 years after the Rio Olympics and 16 years after the episode originally aired.

I didn’t know about the SVU episode titled “Blind” that was written around season 11 but was never filmed. The shelved episode titled Cooked from season 20 likely became the episode Hell’s Kitchen also from that season, they just renamed it.

If there are any night owls here, Sundance is doing like WE once did [being sister channels, maybe not a surprise!] and is having an early-morning CI block this Wednesday, June 12th, from 1:00 a.m. until 4:00 a.m. (so this starts right after the prime-time Charge! block ends!).

It is S7, with “Untethered”, “Senseless”, and “Purgatory”.

ETA: It appears this may be an every Wednesday thing as there is another block the following Wednesday at the same time.

I wish CI was still shown on more places besides Charge. While I love the 4 hours of CI a night on Charge, it would still be nice if there were other places it was shown. The one thing that annoys me about Charge is they censor some stuff in the episodes - really weird because there’s no consistency to what lines they censor and why they do it - and I’ve watched other crime shows on Charge such as Without a Trace and CSIs and I haven’t noticed any censorship, although I don’t watch those as frequently as I do CI. But the censorship is really odd, and no other network censors CI.

Season 9 is on now - probably the weakest season of CI as it’s so low energy and the plots just weren’t as memorable as a result.

Well, it is still on Sundance on Friday afternoons, 1:00 p.m. through 4:00 p.m. ET.

And it appears the Wednesday early-morning block may be a thing as it is also listed from 1:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. next Wednesday, the 19th, besides the one happening this week on the 12th.

So it seems Sundance is taking a page from sister channel WE and will air episodes in very early-morning/late-night [depending on one’s POV!] blocks on Wednesday mornings in addition to Fridays.

Not perfect, but at least it’s somewhere besides Charge!.

So funny to see Frank and Alex outside 1PP in “Untethered” on Sundance now considering Tony Goldwyn now plays the EADA on the Motherhip…

Yeah it’s always funny to see an actor in a previous episode when they’ve become a regular later on - happens frequently in L&O.
Nick Baxter is the DA, not the EADA just FYI. The EADA is the lead prosecutor role that’s now filled by Nolan Price.

Ah, right! EADA is Ben, Jack, etc.

Why I wrote that, I have no clue. :yum:

How cool! I just found this video on YT: A free production of “Enemy of the People” in Times Square, featuring Kathryn Erbe and her former What About Bob? co-star, the one and only Bill Murray!

And I am 99% positive that is Jay O. Sanders, a.k.a. her CI co-star [as Joe Hannah!] sitting next to her.

Yes, it is indeed Jay O. Sanders. So a mini CI reunion of sorts besides Kathryn’s film reunion with Murray!

Charge is airing CI episodes centered around criminal fathers for Father’s Day tonight - starting with Bright Boy now, then Death Roe, then In The Wee Small Hours parts 1-2. Excellent choices for CI episodes involving horrible perp fathers, love each of those episodes.

Yep, I noticed the theme right away. Only fair since Charge! did a mothers-themed block over Mother’s Day Weekend.

Great choices for scumbag fathers episodes by Charge yesterday, and I always enjoy seeing Wee Small Hours, my personal all time favorite CI episode - very close to a perfect storyline,

CI is on all night again.

After the Charge! Season 1 block ends at 1:00 a.m., there is another early-morning Season 7 Sundance block, airing from 1:00 a.m. until 4:00 a.m.

Good thing since, even with the AC, it is too brutal heat wise to get any real sleep. (81 degrees at almost 11:00 p.m. is cruel and unusual punishment. LOL! It’s not even officially summer for another day and a half!)

Season 2 of CI is on Charge now, it’s such a great season

While I really like the episode Tomorrow overall, fascinating plot with the killer nannies obsessed with the soap opera, I don’t think the ploy used by Goren/Eames/Carver to get them to turn on each other would hold up in court and I could see the whole case being tossed out - Davenport was part of the ploy and hiring the attorney was just for show, so the defense could argue entrapment, and also Hannah confessed at the end without her lawyer present. The whole thing reeked of something that wouldn’t pass muster in court.

The Pilgrim is finishing up now, another good episode with good detective work from Goren/Eames and I liked seeing Deakins go out in the field and get a much larger role than normal.

Baggage is on now.

Good episode, but Keith was so slimy. So much for being a “good guy”. Jenny was vulnerable because of the harassment as work, and unfortunately, she trusted the sleaze.

I do like the “Bob, the Shipping Magnate” and Alex, Queen of Sheba" scene!

Keith was indeed a slimy lowlife. It was a fascinating plot with how he orchestrated the fraud scheme because he wanted to be rich and be with attractive wealthy women. I’m not sure why the victim trusted him, I guess because he pretended to be nice to her. It’s a very good episode, most season 2 episodes are strong.

I know I should probably feel sorry for Julie in “Suite Sorrow”, what with her own father getting it on with her fiancé, not to mention HE killed his wife while letting Julie take the fall.

But damn, the character is so unlikable, to me!
